The First Battle tells the story of how "120,000 people of Japanese ancestry on the Mainland were wrongly interned while 160,000 people of Japanese ancestry in Hawai’i were able to go about their lives during World War II."

It airs Dec., 7, 2006 at 8 pm on KHET in Hawaii and will be on PBS stations in May of 2007. It is also available on DVD.
